AMSA National Convention
The AMSA National Convention, often simply known as “Convention”, is the premier event for Australian medical students. It is organised entirely by a volunteer team of dedicated students, and aims to give delegates a broader perspective on medicine and life in general via an interactive 4-day academic program filled with both philosophical and practical sessions, as well as providing them with a full social and networking program unmatched by any other student-run event in the country.
The first Convention was held in Brisbane in 1960, put together in only 10 weeks and hosted just 160 from 5 different medical schools across Australia. The 56th Annual AMSA National Convention will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from July 5-12th, 2015, and will host over 1,200 medical students from 22 medical schools across Australia and New Zealand, immersing them in the rich experience and culture that is Convention.
If you are an Australasian medical student, you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity.
